In the Diocese of Metuchen there are 41 elementary and six high schools serving just over 15,000 students.
- The elementary schools include:
- 33 schools with grades Pre-K to eighth;
- four schools with K to eighth;
- one school with Pre-K to sixth;
- one school with Pre-K to fourth;
- one school with Pre-K and K,
- and one school for exceptional children.
On the secondary level, there are two Diocesan high schools, two parish high schools, and two private high schools.
