Ethics professor to speak at Diocese’s St. Thomas More Society dinner

Monmouth Junction- The Diocese of Metuchen St. Thomas More Society will host its fourth annual dinner at Pierre’s on Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Kevin T. Jackson, J.D., Ph.D., a consultant on business ethics for organizations and leaders worldwide, will be the event’s guest speaker. His talk is entitled, "The Economic Crisis and the Common Good: Seeking An Alternative Vision."

Dr. Jackson is Professor of Business Ethics and Professor of Legal and Ethical Studies at Fordham University in New York City. He has taught at Princeton University, Georgetown University and Peking University in Beijing, China, and has published numerous journal articles as well as Building Reputational Capital (Oxford University Press, 2004), and Charting Global Responsibilities: Legal Philosophy and Human Rights (University Press of America, 1994). He is a Senior Fellow at The Witherspoon Institute and Director of its Program in Business and Ethics.

A frequent commentator in the news media on legal and ethical issues facing corporations, Dr. Jackson has been on CBS Evening News, CNN, Fox News, and National Public Radio. He has delivered seminars on ethics in the securities industry for the NASD, and has given presentations for executives, dignitaries, and financial services organizations, including LOMA/LIMRA.

A resident of Princeton, Dr. Jackson holds a B.A., M.A., and J.D. from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
