Principal

Our Lady of Peace School, located in the Fords section of Edison Twp. (at the Woodbridge Twp. Border) is currently seeking a principal for its Pre-K thru 8th grade Middle-States accredited parish school.  The Search Committee seeks a passionate and dynamic leader committed to enhancing our strong Catholic identity and to further our goal to educate and form our students into disciples of the Lord and to foster their active participation in the life of the Church.

The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic, capable of fostering the Catholic identity of the school through his/her own spiritual enthusiasm and life experience; have at least 5 years of successful teaching and administrative experience on the elementary or secondary level; minimum of a M.A. degree and graduate credits in the field of education and administration; a NJ elementary or secondary teaching certificate and NJ principal’s certificate or its reciprocal is required; be able to work collaboratively with a dedicated teaching staff, many of whom are alumnae of the school and have longevity there as teachers.

Parish Catechetical Leader

The Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield, NJ seeks a Parish Catechetical Leader that will direct parish religious education for children and adults and RCIA programs along with providing leadership to assist the parish community.

Some job responsibilities include:

  • Designing catechetical processes that support the needs of the parish community and conforms to Diocesan guidelines
  • Developing a coordinated approach toward total parish faith formation
  • Directing implementation and on-going management of total parish faith formation and education
  • Evaluating the faith formation and education processes of the parish, in relation to the goals and objectives outlined in Church documents and in collaboration with the Pastor and parish staff
  • Directly supervising administrative staff and volunteers in accordance with parish policies and applicable laws

The ideal candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in religious studies, pastoral ministry or an equivalent study; five to seven years related experience and or training and certification as a Parish Catechetical Leader. This position involves balancing schedule between day/evening and weekend hours.

Director of Sacred Music, Plainsboro

Queenship of Mary Parish in Plainsboro is seeking to hire a full time Director of Sacred Music. Ideal candidate will have excellent singing voice and the ability to play both organ and piano well. The director must also have the ability to direct choirs, as well as train cantors, singers and instrumentalists. Director is responsible for overall parish music ministry, which includes, but is not limited to, four weekend Masses, weekly choir rehearsals, music for our catechetical program, as well as other feasts and celebrations of the Church year. Director of Sacred Music, Washington

Parish Manager

St Joseph's is a Catholic Parish located in Keyport New Jersey. The Church has approximately 2,100 registered families, a parish center, a training/retreat facility and a cemetery/mausoleum. All of these entities are part of a related network. The parish offers a wide array of services that are made available to support the community and enrich the lives of those of whom we come in contact with.

We are looking for a full time, hands-on Parish Manager and team leader to manage the day-to-day administrative services in our office. The individual must have prior experience working within a network of interrelated operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic financial reporting, budgeting and payroll
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank relations
  • Supervise receptionist, bookkeeper, network staff and volunteers with the capacity to effectively delegate when appropriate
  • Oversee facilities and office equipment
  • Oversee computer network and phone system
  • Understand Diocesan guidelines and apply them to the current operations
  • Evaluate existing processes and offer effective and efficient alternatives
  • Document office and network procedures, implement improvements and obtain compliance
  • Negotiate and administer vendor contracts
  • Work closely with and support a variety of parish organizations and committees
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as an administrator, the last 3 or more working within a network of interrelated operations
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of products (2007), QuickBooks and web based applications
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited University or College.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Possess good judgment, enthusiasm and be a team player
