In a decree issued July 7, 2010, Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski established as law in the diocese The Ethical and Religious Directives for Health Care Services, Fifth Edition.

The document expresses Church teaching on medical and moral matters.

The implementation, the bishop said, is intended to “safeguard the integrity and unity of the truths of the faith, moral principles and ecclesiastical discipline in the works of the apostolate pertaining to health care.”
