Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) (S. 1173, H.R. 1964)

"We can't reduce abortions by promoting abortion" (Chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, Cardinal Justin Rigali's September 19th letter to Members of Congress).

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) will soon be coming up before Congress and if it is passed into law, it will pave the way for many more abortions. This extreme bill would abolish many informed consent laws that limit or regulate abortions such as:

  • Parental notification involving minors
  • late-term and "partial birth" abortions
  • abortion clinic regulations
  • conscience protection laws
  • abortions by nonphyscians
  • funding of abortions by taxpayers

Please help to oppose FOCA by contacting your U.S. Representative or your two U.S. Sentators. Full contact information may be found at www.senate.gov and www.house.gov or you may call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 1-202-224-3121.
