O God, our Creator, we praise you for this moment of grace as we strive to implement the norms of our First Diocesan Synod.
We stand before you ready to embrace a future that summons us and ask you to open our eyes, our ears and our hearts. May we listen compassionately, speak wisely and work collaboratively that, together, we may make the reign of God real in our time.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, may the process of implementation help us grow in Gospel values and learn from each other, so that we may serve you better and experience the joy of discipleship.
May the Diocese of Metuchen be faithful to our Catholic tradition and grow in our mission to be a loving community of Jesus Christ, steeped in prayer and service to all.
