May 31st – Pentecost Sunday
Presider: Gathered in this holy place, we have come to celebrate God’s Holy Spirit dwelling among us. Let us give voice to that Holy Spirit in the prayers we offer together:

~That the same Spirit which enflamed the hearts of the Apostles on Pentecost may inspire men and women to lay down their lives for Christ with that same passion, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Father of life, hear our prayers. Set our hearts aflame with Your Holy Spirit so that we may become beacons of hope in our world full of darkness. We make this prayer in the name of Jesus, the Risen Lord, who lives, and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit as the one God for ever and ever.

June 7th - Holy Trinity
Presider: To the merciful and gracious Lord of all, let us pray:

~That we may trust in Christ, especially in the vocations He may give us, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Gracious God, we acknowledge your love revealed to us in the glory of Christ and the splendor of your Spirit. Receive our prayers and grant that we may come to the inheritance held out to us in Christ. We pray as your adopted children in Christ’s name.

June 14th – Most Holy Body and Blood
Presider: Before we bring our gifts to the altar for this Holy Sacrifice, let us pray for God’s blessings.

~That our Lord, who offers His own Sacred Body and Precious Blood in the Eucharist, may inspire men to be the priests who bring this sacrament to us, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Gracious Father, Giver and Nurturer of all life, hear our prayers. May the Bread of Life bring us to our eternal reward. We ask this in the name Jesus, Your Son.

June 21st – Twelfth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Wondrous are all God’s works of creation; unfathomable is the depth of God’s love for us. In joyful hope, then, let us offer our prayers to God, our Creator and Father:

~That men and women from our diocese may have enough faith in the Lord that they will give their lives to Him by becoming a priest or religious, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Gracious God, bless us with the wisdom, patience, and grace to feel your presence in all that we do. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, the Lord.

June 28th – Thirteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: In gratitude for what has been, in hope for what will be, let us offer our prayers to the God of life and joy:

~That the Lord of life may heal our hearts of stone and make them open to hearing the call to vocations to priesthood and the religious life, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Lord of all hopefulness, Author of all goodness, hear our prayers. Do not let us surrender our hope to fear, but may Your Holy Spirit inspire us to trust always in what is right and good. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

July 5th – Fourteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us lift up our hearts and voices to the Lord in prayer for all members of the human family:

~That we may trust in the wisdom of God while discerning vocations to the priesthood and religious life, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: We come to you in hope, Lord, knowing that you will hear the prayers we ask in faith. May your Spirit of wisdom and truth rest upon us always, so that we may be prophets of Your great love. Grant these prayers we offer in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

July 12th – Fifteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us now join our hearts and voices in prayer for all who journey with us to the kingdom of God:

~That we may welcome vocations to the priesthood and religious life both when they come to ourselves and to those we may know, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Hear our prayers, Lord, and be with us on our journey. May your peace guide our steps and may hope light our way as we journey through life to the joy of your kingdom, where you live and reign for ever and ever.

July 19th - Sixteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us now lift our spirits and voices in prayer to the Lord, our Shepherd and Teacher:

~That our Lord, the Good Shepherd, may call more men from this diocese to watch over his flock as priests, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Loving God, Your good news revives us in spirit. May we cling to the new life your love offers and nourish it with constant prayer in Jesus’ name.

July 26th - Seventeenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider
: Let us take to heart the apostles’ teachings and pray for a deepening love as God’s people:

~That our Lord, who fed thousands in the multiplication of the loaves, may continue to feed us in the Eucharist by sending priests to serve His people, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Gracious God, hear the prayers we make as we prepare for this Holy Sacrifice. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the Bread of Life.

August 2nd - Eighteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: To the Lord, who feeds us with the Bread of Heaven, let us pray:

~That the Lord may send more priests to give us the True Bread from Heaven, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: God, receive our prayers through Jesus Christ, Your chosen servant whose words nourish our faith, hope, and love.

August 9th - Nineteenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us pray to pursue the way of love that the Church and world will more perfectly image Christ.

~That Jesus, the Bread of Life, may inspire men to become priests and bring us the Bread of Life in the Eucharist, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Christ Jesus, renew in us the joy of Your love that with You we may be a pleasing gift to God. We ask this through You who live and reign for ever and ever.

August 16th – Twentieth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: God invites us to the banquet of wisdom and life. With confidence, then, let us pray:

~That God may inspire men from our diocese to become priests to bring us the Bread of Life so we may live forever in heaven, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: O God, hear our prayers and guide all creation by Your Holy Spirit. Grant this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

August 23rd - Twenty-first Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Believing that Christ has the words of eternal life, let us pray to be faithful to the Gospel we have heard:

~That men and women from our diocese may come to see Jesus as the Holy One of God and commit their lives to Him through a religious vocation, we pray to the Lord…

Presider
: Gracious God, hear our prayers. Do not let us be discouraged by the crosses of our lives, but let us always carry on in hope, in the certainty of your Son’s words of spirit and life. In His name, we pray.

August 30th – Twenty-second Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us pray to have the heart and mind of Christ:

~That our Lord may inspire men to become priests and women to become religious sisters, so they may come to worship Him with their whole hearts unreservedly, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: God of Glory, purify us by Your Word that our lives may be holy, our actions just, and our prayers acceptable. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

September 6th - Twenty-third Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider
: With hearts and minds opened to God’s healing presence, let us pray:

~That our Lord may open the ears of young men and women so that they may hear His call to possible religious vocations, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Open our eyes, ears, and hearts to Your Holy Spirit, O God, that everything we do and every moment You give us may speak of Your loving presence in our world. We offer our prayers in the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

September 13th - Twenty-fourth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Our profession of faith calls us to share in Christ’s mission of salvation for the life of the world. Let us entrust our calling to God’s care:

~That young men may deny themselves, take up their crosses, and follow in the steps of Christ to the priesthood, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider
: Gracious God, hear the prayers we lift to you. Give us the courage and generosity to crucify our slef interests and take up our crosses to follow Christ, so that we may bring His new life to our world. We offer these prayers in the name of Jesus, the Messiah and Redeemer.

September 20th - Twenty-fifth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us present our needs to our heavenly Father:

~That men and women may become servants of the people of God through ministry as a priest, deacon, or religious brother or sister, we pray to the Lord ...

Presider: Gracious Father, hear our prayers. Enliven us with the Spirit of Christ the Servant, that we may serve and honor You by serving and honoring one another; inspire us with the wonder of a child, that we may seek with gratitude the simple and humble ways of your justice and peace. We ask these things in the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

September 27th - Twenty-sixth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us now offer our prayers to God, the Father of justice and compassion.

~For the grace to hear God’s call to religious vocations, we pray to the Lord . . .

: Gracious God, may Your Spirit dwell in our hearts through faith that we may be one with Christ in His mission of mercy. We ask You to receive our prayers in Jesus’ name.

October 4th - Twenty-seventh Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us now lift our hearts and voices in prayer to God for all the human family:

~That we may embrace our vocations with the trust of little children, we pray to the Lord . . .

October 11th - Twenty-eighth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Like Solomon, let us pray for Wisdom and desire her presence above earthly treasures:

~That young men and women may go and sell all they have and follow the Lord through a vocation to the priesthood or religious life, we pray to the Lord . . .

: Enliven us with Your Spirit, O Lord, so that we may seek Your mercy and justice for all people; bless us with the light of Your wisdom, so that we may follow Christ Jesus to make these prayers a reality. In Jesus’ name we pray.

October 18th - Twenty-ninth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: With confident faith, let us call on the Savior’s mercy that we may have God’s help in every undertaking:

~That God may call men and women from our Diocese to service in the church as priests and religious, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider
: Father, grant us the courage and perseverance to be worthy disciples of Your Son; may we seek forgiveness rather than vengeance; may we honor humility and selflessness; may we insist on compassion and justice regardless of the cost. Hear our prayers we offer, O God, in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

October 25th - Thirtieth Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us pray for the faith that gives us new vision:

~That we may have the faith to see what vocation God is calling us to, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider
: Lord, restore us with Your vision of selfless love. Hear our prayers which we ask of You in the name of Jesus, the healing Christ.

November 1st - All Saints Day
Presider: Let us call forth the Holy Spirit that, like the saints, we might be filled with the light of faith and love:

~That young men in our diocese may hear God’s call to help others become saints through the priesthood, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider
: God, you have shared the victory of Christ with the saints. Hear our prayers for Your Spirit that our lives may be rooted in love and make us worthy to share the joy of the saints. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

November 8th - Thirty-second Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: Let us now join our hearts and voices in prayer to our heavenly Father for all our brothers and sisters in Christ:

~That our Lord may call men and women from our Diocese to give themselves to the Lord as priests or religious brothers or sisters, we pray to the Lord . . .

: O God, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, that we may be transformed by the Gospel and live as Your holy people united with Christ, who appears before You on our behalf. We pray through Christ our Lord.

November 15th - Thirty-third Sunday Ordinary Time
Presider: To God, who is our hope in times of trial, let us pray:

~That our Lord may send shepherds to guide us in these end times, we pray to the Lord . . .

: Hear our prayers, O God, You who are the beginning and end of all things. May we treasure the preciousness of the time you have given us, so that we may live our lives in joyful expectation of Your eternal reign. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

November 22nd - Christ the King
Presider: In joyful hope, let us come together in prayer before Jesus, our King and Redeemer:

~That we may be committed to the truth and hear the voice of the Lord, who calls us to our vocation in life, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider
: We praise You, O God, Ruler of all nations. Hear the prayers we offer in joyful hope until the coming of our Messiah and King, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit as the one God, forever and ever.

November 29st - First Sunday Advent
Presider: Let us pray to be mindful of God’s ways as we await the coming of Christ:

~That we may be attentive enough in our lives to realizes whether God is calling us to a religious vocation, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider: God our Creator, fill us with the new life of grace that we may cling to Your love and abide in hope as the day of Christ draws near. Grant our prayers in Jesus’ name.

December 6th - Second Sunday Advent
Presider: In joyful hope in the coming of God’s reign, let us pray:

~That our Lord may send us priests and religious brothers and sister who will lead us into the future, we pray to the Lord . . .

Presider: Lord God, hear the prayers of Your people who anxiously await Your coming. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ.

December 13th - Third Sunday Advent
Presider: Let us now offer our prayers in joyful hope to the Lord who comes to save us:

~That men and women may hear the call to be bearers of the Good News like John the Baptist through religious vocations, we pray to the Lord . . .

: Gracious God, hear our prayers. May Your Spirit come upon us to transform our lives and our world. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer.

December 20th - Fourth Sunday Advent
Presider: In joyful anticipation of the Lord’s coming at Christmas, let us join our hearts and voices in prayer:

~That we may follow Mary’s example when she said “Let it be done unto me according to Your will,” and follow whatever vocation God may be calling us to, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: Come, Lord God, shatter the darkness of our world with the light of Your Glory. May these prayers, and our work we offer, be brought to fulfillment in the light of our Messiah. We ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

December 27th - Holy Family
Presider: Let us now pray to our Father in heaven for the needs of the members of our human family:

~That young men may hear the calling of Christ to the priesthood, we pray to the Lord…

Presider: God of enduring kindness, hear our prayers. In Christ you call us to be a family of faith. May each household be enriched in wisdom and love and know your help in time of trial. Grant our prayers through your Word Made Flesh, Jesus Christ.
