Life Insurance
The Diocese understands and appreciates the protection and security that insurance provides, particularly when faced with difficulty of the sudden or unexpected loss of a loved one. For this reason, eligible employees are covered under our group Life Insurance program through MetLife.
Basic Program – Eligible employees are provided coverage in the amount of 1.5 times your base salary, to a maximum benefit of $200,000. The program is paid 100% by the employer and also includes Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance equal to 75% of your life insurance, to a maximum benefit of $30,000.
Supplemental Program - Employees may elect to purchase additional coverage at their own cost (up to $375,000 combined). This program also offers estate planning services for children or dependents with special needs at no additional cost.
