Contest Rules: Essay – Essays or speech should be typed and between 300 – 500 words. Skits - Skits should be 5 – 7 minutes long and no more than 5 typed pages of dialogue. Songs – Songs should be written by the student and no longer than 2 ½ minutes. Melody may be borrowed, but lyrics should be original. Record on a regular-size cassette or CD. Include a typewritten copy of the lyrics. This Contest is for Schools, Youth Groups and Religious Education Programs. Please submit all entries to the Diocesan Pro-Life Office for judging. Poetry Contest Rules (grades 6-8 only)
Judging: This Contest is for Schools and Religious Education Programs. A first place poster will be selected for each grade and a first place poem for each grade 6-8 will be submitted to the Diocese for judging. Winners will be chosen from across the diocese. The winning drawings will be used to make a 2007/2008 Respect-Life Calendar. Diocesan winners will receive a cash prize and will be announced by March 1, 2007. Winners will be contacted by phone. Please attach the coupon below to the back of your poster/poem. DOWNLOAD COUPON AND ENTRY FORM Drawings are due to the School Office/Religious Education Office no later than FEBRUARY 14TH.
