DIOCESE OF METUCHEN TO CELEBRATE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

Catholic Schools throughout the Diocese of Metuchen are planning a variety of activities in observance of Catholic Schools Week which begins Sunday, January 30. This year’s national theme, faith in every student, summarizes the goals of a Catholic School education: building character and faith values along with an emphasis on academic excellence.

To inaugurate Catholic Schools Week, students from the Diocese’s 42 elementary and six high schools will gather at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen on Saturday at 7 p.m. for a special Liturgy. Bishop Emeritus, Edward T. Hughes, will celebrate the Mass as well as deliver the homily.
