The Office of Parish Leadership Formation provides workshops, retreats and other services to parishes as they develop pastoral councils to support the ministry of wise and prudent presbyteral leadership. The advisory nature of these Councils requires a membership in contact with all aspects of parish life, sharing a common spiritual vision of the local parish as a vital community of Jesus’ disciples faithful to the Roman Catholic tradition yet open to new possibilities as new needs and opportunities present themselves.

To support the development and ministry of parish pastoral councils, the Office offers:

• days and evenings of reflection and retreat
• workshops to help councils develop, modify, validate or implement a Mission Statement or to clarify pastoral goals,objectives and strategies.
• workshops in communication skills and in group process
  also further the ministry of pastoral councils.

An Advisory Committee composed of representatives from various
parish pastoral councils helps to design and implement these
programs and services.
