Prayer for Vocations
"The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the
master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest."
Matthew 9:37-38
Lord of the Harvest, in response to Your command to pray for laborers to serve in Your vineyard, we humbly beg Your intercession for the Diocese of Metuchen. Grant us holy priests, worthy ministers for Your altar and ardent but gentle servants of the Gospel. We also pray for an increase in vocations to the Consecrated Religious Life. May more in our midst hear and respond to Your unique call to serve in the vineyard of the Diocese of Metuchen with a spirit of joyful generosity.
Grant, too, that the seminarians of the Diocese of Metuchen, who are discerning Your call to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ, persevere faithfully, and may they be open to Your will for each of them as they respond graciously to Your call.
We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest. Amen.
Oración Por las Vocaciones
“La cosecha es abundante, pero los trabajadores son pocos. Rueguen, pues, al dueño de la cosecha que envíe trabajadores a recoger su cosecha.”

Señor de las Mies, respondiendo a Tu mandato de rezar para los obreros que sirven en Tu viña, humildemente pedimos Tu intercesión sobre la Diócesis de Metuchen. Que nuestros sacerdotes presentes y futuros sean santos, ministros dignos de tu altar llenos de ardor y siervos mansos del Evangelio. También rezamos por el aumento de vocaciones a la Vida Religiosa Consagrada. Que haya más entre nosotros mismos que escuchen y respondan a Tu llamada a servir en la viña de la Diócesis de Metuchen con un espíritu de generosidad gozosa.
Concede, también que los seminaristas de la Diócesis de Metuchen, quienes están discerniendo Tu llamada al sacerdocio de Jesucristo, perseveren fielmente y estén abiertos a tu voluntad para cada uno de ellos mientras responden gratuitamente a tu designio.
