Diocesan Stewardship Council
An Open Invitation

In 2006 our Diocesan Stewardship Council was formed.  It is comprised of lay volunteers who give freely of their time, talent and energy to assist in the mission of the Diocese of Metuchen’s Office of Stewardship in fostering stewardship as a “way of life.”  There are currently 11 members who work with the Director of Stewardship and the Coordinator of Stewardship to plan and select topics for workshops and the annual Stewardship Symposium.  In addition, the Council adopts special projects to promote stewardship, such as Recipes for Stewardship Success, a compilation of stewardship activities submitted by parishes thoughout the diocese.

At the invitation of the International Catholic Stewardship Council, the members of our Diocesan Stewardship Council will serve as judges for the 2007 ICSC Promotional Materials Awards.  The group will judge promotional materials submitted from parishes and dioceses from all over the world.  Entries are accepted in 11 categories and involve a variety of mediums including, posters, videos, brochures, manuals and advertisements.  The Diocese of Metuchen will formally present the awards at the ICSC Annual Conference in Miami in late September.

Anyone interested in serving on the Diocesan Stewardship Council is invited to apply by contacting the Office of Stewardship at 732-562-2432.
