After shepherding the faithful of the local Church of Metuchen for 9 years, Bishop James F. Checchio prepares to say goodbye as he begins to transition to his new role as Co-adjutor Archbishop of New Orleans.
Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, MetuchenIn thanksgiving for this local Church and a farewell to the faithful of Central New Jersey, please join Bishop Checchio as he offers a final Mass of Thanksgiving for the people as their Bishop and their continued blessing in this new chapter in the life of the Church.
Following the Mass, please join Bishop Checchio in the CYO Building for a light reception.

Associations of the Faithful RSVPMembers of the Knights of Columbus, Order of the Holy Sepulchre, & Order of Malta (who have been invited by the Diocese of Metuchen) is requested to indicate whether they will be attending the Farewell Mass. You will be asked to indicate whether you will be participating in the procession and asked to submit your response in a timely manner to allow sufficient preparation time.

Religious RSVPThe Religious Orders interested in attending the Farewell Mass are kindly asked to please submit their RSVP and how many from the Order will attend to allow sufficient preparation time for the Diocesan & Cathedral Staff.
