How can you strengthen your OCIA/RCIA process to be the best your parish has ever offered? This presentation not only provides clarity on the recent changes and updates for the OCIA, but also aims to help all those involved in assisting the conversion process of newcomers to the Catholic faith.
It does this by focusing on the balance of liturgical, catechetical, and pastoral elements essential to effective evangelization and formation of those approaching our Church.Secretary for Evangelization and Communication

acarlisle@diometuchen.orgDr. Bill Keimig, Deputy Director of the Catechetical Institute (CI) at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, led a Zoom meeting with Adam Carlisle, Secretary for Evangelization and Communication, for our OCIA Directors and their respective team members.
The Zoom meeting was an exploration into the history of the Catechumenate, with a special emphasis on why the renewal of the process of Christian initiation stands as one of the most successful features of modern liturgical renewal. Focusing on the catechetical, liturgical, and pastoral/ecclesial dimensions of the process of Christian initiation, Dr. Keimig reminded attendees of the importance of going back to the tried-and-true practices of the early Church in order to lovingly bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
